About us.

What is Modern Wills Law?

We are technically a law firm. But we are laser-focused on all things estates. This means are services include estate planning packages (Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Personal Directives), as well as probate/estate administration.

What makes us modern?

We are not scared of advances in technology - we are excited by them! They allow us to spend significantly more time connecting with our clients one-on-one, while providing lawyer-drafted documents at reasonable flat rates.

Thinking about preparing estate planning documents? We should work together if:

  • You are a young professional who is working hard to build your dream life and you want to be sure that the assets that you have worked so hard to acquire would be in the hands of people you trust.

  • You are a parent who wants to ensure your kids are taken care of by someone you trust.

  • You are recently separated or divorced and you want to ensure that a charity close to your heart benefits from your estate, rather than your former spouse.

  • You are anyone who wants to ensure things are as simple as possible for your loved ones on your death, and you see the value in planning now!

Estate planning is not just for retired people who have accumulated significant wealth. (Though if that describes you, you most definitely need an estate plan too!) Wills may be even more important when a death is unexpected. Let’s imagine: you have the opportunity to live to 100. By 100, you have watched your loved ones enjoy sharing in the assets you worked so hard to accumulate, and there is really not much left to be distributed under the terms of your Will. A Will would matter less in those circumstances than it would for someone who died prior to reaching that milestone. Wills are needed because we cannot predict the future.

You deserve the peace of mind that comes with having a personalized plan in place that achieves your goals and will make things easier for your loved ones in the future.
